What is the PPL(A) training program in ZONDA.aero?

Our two-step online training system provides flexibility and convenience for participants. The first stage is theoretical training, which can be taken at any time and place thanks to our e-learning platform. Thanks to this, participants have full control over their learning pace and can adjust the training to their schedule. You can sign up for the training individually, you no longer have to wait for a group of trainees and the announcement of the next recruitment.

Each theoretical training module contains comprehensive educational materials, including texts, multimedia presentations and audio recordings. Our proprietary theoretical course is available in two languages - Polish and English, which allows participants to choose their preferred language. The period of self-education assumes 85 hours of theoretical classes.

After completing the online training, participants go to the second stage, which includes classes with instructors in the form of a weekend online meeting. Thanks to this, they have the possibility of direct contact with experienced instructors and can discuss more advanced aviation issues. They constitute 17 hours of group classes. A group of participants starts with two people, so there is no need to wait for a group of students!

Our training platform, based on modern technologies, enables access to training materials at any time of the day or night. In addition, the progress tracking system allows participants to monitor their achievements and see where they need extra work.

At the end of the theoretical training, participants undergo an internal examination, which is required to obtain a certificate. Our certificate is recognized by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and opens the way to start practical training.

We would like to emphasize that an important element before starting practical training is to perform aero-medical examinations. List of medical examiners authorized to perform aero-medical examinations and issue certificates in the field of health requirements:

    • aviation law,
    • human - performance and limitations,
    • communication,
    • meteorology,
    • flight rules,
    • operational procedures,
    • flight planning,
    • general airplane knowledge and navigation.

    Practical stage:

After successfully completing the theoretical classes, we can move on to the desired practical part. The practical part is carried out on the basis of a training program that includes a minimum of 45 hours of training in the air, in accordance with the PART-FCL regulations. You will approach training consisting of three stages that are divided into tasks. During the training, you can choose one of the following planes for flights:

    • Cessna 150/152/172,
    • Pipistrel Virus,
    • Tecnam P2008JC.

What elements is the training divided into?

    Exercise A
The first task is to learn basic piloting in the airport zone. In this part the procedure for emergency situations on the ground is discussed and analyzed. You will become familiar with the elements of the aircraft installations. At this stage, the training of proper taxiing is conducted. You will learn about the approaches at different flap deflections. Attention is given to improving take-off and landing approach errors. Knowledge of avoiding emergency situation is also provided - how to correctly bring the plane out of the early phase of spiral and other dangerous positions of the plane. At this stage, you learn to take action in the event of engine power failure and to take action in different emergencies. Before starting the solo flight, there are training flights in the traffic circle. The applicant shall also perform circling and landing maneuvers at an altitude of 500 ft.

    Exercise B
At this stage of the training, you become familiar with the basic technical tools that are used for instrument flight. During the B exercises, a flight takes place based on the control tools.

    Exercise C
Navigation is the most important element of the training and also the most interesting - you fly outside the airport zone in order to take control over navigation and visual orientation during the flight. At this stage, there are also solo flights along the routes. Attention is also paid to the radio navigation flight. During the training, the participant must fly a minimum distance of 270 km (150 nautical miles) during which full stop landings must be made at 2 airports other than the departure airport.

After the training, a practical exam takes place in our training center with a previously appointed examiner. We provide professional preparation from our experienced instructors which will be at your disposal at every step of the theoretical course and practical training, always ready to answer all your questions.
